22nd Annual D.C. Benefit Gala (2015)
Date: Friday, October 23, 2015
Location: The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Washington, D.C.
This was the 22nd Annual Gala & Benefit Dinner organized by RMF USA in Washington DC. The three honorees were Lebanese-Americans, born in Lebanon all Deans of the Schools of Architecture in three prestigious universities:
- Dr. Hashim Sarkis at MIT (MIT has been classified this year as being the top university in the United States);
- Dr. Amale Andraos at Columbia University – New York;
- Dr. Rodolphe El-Khoury at the University of Miami.
Ending her speech, H.E. Mrs. Moawad invited Ambassador Antoine Chedid and his wife Nicole to the podium, asking the guests for “a standing ovation” to an Ambassador who worked restlessly during 10 years to explain and advocate for the Lebanese cause, making the Embassy “the House of Lebanon” for each and every Lebanese.
The dinner was animated by Lebanese entertainers Manel El-Mallat and Kristian Abouanni, who enchanted the audience. Lebanese designer Toufic Hatab’s brilliant Fashion Show was highly applauded.
