Dr. Talal M. Nsouli
Dr. Talal M. Nsouli is a Professor of Adult & Pediatric Allergy/Immunology, Distinguished Research Scientist at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of Immunology at the Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, Director of the Watergate and McLean Allergy & Asthma Centers, and Director and Founder of the International Cough Institute in Washington, D.C.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI),The American Academy of Allergy Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI), and a Fellow of the American College of InternationalPhysicians (ACIP).
Dr. Nsouli was elected to the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) Board of Regents, the governing body of this organization, for the 2009-2012 term. In addition, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the Allergy & Asthma Network/Mothers of Asthmatics for the 2011- 2012 term.
Dr. Nsouli is the former president of the Greater Washington Asthma, Allergy and Immunology Society. He is on the Editorial Boards of Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology,The Allergy and Asthma Proceedings, and The Reviews & Trends in Respiratory Medicine, and he is a reviewer of articles for The World Allergy Organization Journal and the American Journal of Rhinology & Allergy.
He has also been the chairman of the Washington, D.C. Chapter of ACAAI’s annual Nationwide Asthma Screening Program since its inception in 1998. In addition Dr. Nsouli is Spokesperson for the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
He has been recognized by Washingtonian Magazine, Washington Consumers’ Checkbook, Northern Virginia Magazine, and Super Doctors as one of the top doctors in allergy and immunology in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The Consumers’ Research Council of America has recognized Dr. Nsouli as one of the top doctors in allergy and immunology in the country in America’s Top Physicians and in Best Doctors in America.
Dr. Nsouli has published more than 100 research studies in the fields of allergy, asthma and immunology, contributing greatly to medical science. He discovered effective treatments for complex medical conditions, including Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, severe nasal polyposis, recurrent ear infections, Empty Nose Syndrome, ocular allergy (The Nsouli Allergy Ocular Sign), and immune deficiency disorders.
In 2009, he was honored with ACAAI’s Distinguished Service Award. In 2002, in recognition of his substantial contributions to medical research, the Georgetown University Medical Center and ACAAI conferred on Dr. Nsouli the prestigious 8th Annual Dr. Robert T. Scanlon Memorial Lectureship.
Dr. Nsouli has done more than 2000 TV interviews on advances in the treatment of allergies and COVID-19 on local and international television including BBC News London, France 24 Paris, Al Arabiya, Al Hadath, AMC Egypt, Almamlaka Jordan, Aljazeera, Algeria News TV, Asharq Bloomberg TV news, Sky News MTV, LBC, and others.
Dr. Nsouli has treated numerous elite national athletes, including Olympians competing in the Olympic Games, players from the Washington Capitals, the Washington Nationals professional baseball team, and DC United Soccer Team.
Finally, Dr. Nsouli has had the distinct honor of serving as President Bill Clinton’s personal allergist throughout all nine years of his presidency and as a trusted allergy consultant to the White House Medical Offices under Presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Joseph R. Biden, and Donald J. Trump both during his first term and in his current term. His longstanding service across administrations underscores his recognized expertise and unwavering dedication to advancing excellence in allergy and immunology care at the highest national and international levels.
