Considered one of America’s most sought after emcees, John Akouri is Motown born and bred from a pedigree of family thespians, orators, scribes and crooners — where the microphone was never a stranger growing up. An award-winning television and radio personality, who burst onto the national broadcasting scene, first hitting the airwaves at FOX-2 News decades ago and most recently at ABC-affiliate NewsTalk AM-760 WJR Radio ‘The Great Voice of The Great Lakes’ broadcasting live from The Golden Tower of The Fisher Building in Downtown Detroit.

Having first gained global prominence at the United States House of Representatives in Washington, DC, in his capacity as Capitol Hill Press Secretary in the 106th Congress, he worked with both the national and worldwide Press Corps, as well as serving as a Media Spokesman, Chief Speechwriter and Congressional Middle East Senior Advisor. While there, he created and executive produced “Window to Washington” the nationally award-winning television program which he also hosted weekly.

A bundle of talent with multifaceted interests, in 2005 he founded the Lebanese American Chamber of Commerce and presides as President & CEO of the non-profit national organization. His leadership coordinates global business diplomacy and ongoing strategic relationships between Lebanon and inside the United States. Additionally, he was editor-in-chief of Lebanese Monthly Magazine, published by its parent company, the Lebanese American News Agency, Inc. Today, as a public relations and government affairs consultant, he heads several leading business, multimedia and entertainment ventures, and is one of the most in-demand motivational and public speakers in the land. A powerhouse figure and behind-the-scenes fundraiser on the philanthropic scene, he is passionate in his support for charitable foundations, institutions and organizations throughout North America.
