Fifth Houston Benefit Gala (2015)

This was the 5th Annual Gala & Benefit Dinner organized by RMF USA in Houston. It was held under the active leadership of Lina Jazi Chehab and Tania Shaheen, the event co-chairs, and a highly motivated team. It witnessed the honoring of three Lebanese-Americans that have achieved great strides in their respective fields.

The 1st honoree was Mr. Muneer Zaineldeen who received the RMF Outstanding Community Service Award for his outstanding efforts in sending medical equipment to Lebanon and other community work. Muneer is one of the founders of the American Druze Foundation and is still very active as a member of the Board of this association that covers the whole of the United States.

The 2nd honoree was Dr. Ray Hachem, a very well known specialist in infectious diseases at MD Anderson Hospital who received the  RMF Outstanding Community Service Award the. On top of his specialization, he works restlessly to send medical equipment to Lebanon.

The 3rd honoree was Dr. Fares El-Dahdah – Director of the Humanities Research Center within Rice University, who received the RMF Distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award.  His Presenter, Dr. Nicolas Shumway, Dean of Humanities at the University, praised Dr. El-Dahdah for the dynamism and the progress witnessed by the Research Center under  his leadership

Featuring a Live Performance By Manel El-Mallat,

World-renowned Lebanese vocalist and recording artist.

And a Fasion Show by Lebanese designer, Toufic Hatab
